The Red Bull Athlete Performance Center (APC) is an athlete accelerator that supports world-class athletes to maximize their individual potential, within an innovative environment and with a powerful global network of specialists. To support our team, we are searching for an IT Manager, who will design and build a sports data platform and athlete applications. Further, the IT Manager will drive program- and project management services and lead our existing IT team as a people manager.

Dein Profil

Design and build Sports Data Platform & Data Products
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of sports data platform and data products
Introduce data engineering capabilities
Manage the underlying technology stack, including data pipelines and ETL processes
Ensure compliance with pertinent data protection regulations and industry standards
Design and build athlete performance data applications (APHub)
Define technical vision and IT architecture of APHub
Establish technical product life cycle management incl. IT support and operations
Establish and steer engineering & software development
Steer and supervise projects in this area
Manage major IT projects and programs from ideation to implementation
Develop project organizations and communication plans
Prepare approval and funding documents, monitor project progress
Execute and deliver projects in scope, in time and in budget
Define, align and implement the company’s IT approach
Shape the role of IT within the organization
Ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment of IT resources with business priorities
Supervise IT staff
Plan and manage local IT budgets
Implement IT standards and guidelines
Manage IT-related risks and ensure compliance with IT security protocols and data protection regulations
Drive and align the selection of IT vendors and tools based on global IT best practices
Oversee relationships with local IT vendors and partners
Provide regular reporting on IT activities, performance metrics, and key achievements
Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience in overseeing IT infrastructure, applications and data systems
Broad understanding of IT infrastructure and application services
Proficiency in IT management, including budgeting and vendor control
Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and roadmaps
Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including analytics platforms and data pipelines
Sound understanding of company functions and culture, particularly within the sports performance domain
Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate complex technical matters effectively
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Result-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
Proficiency in both German and English language
