Position Overview

The Technical Solutions Executive (TechSE) is a commercial technical role that partners with the Mid-Market Accounts Sales Executives to grow new business in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) in Design & Manufacturing (D&M) industry by overseeing the technical relationship and strategy for the accounts. You will foster long-term partnerships with some of the most influential and biggest customers by aligning the customer’s business initiatives and technical goals with Autodesk’s vision, mission, and strategy.

Depending on your location, you will work remotely or in a hybrid model. You will report to the Senior Manager, D&M Technical Sales. You will travel within the DACH region and Europe to customer and internal meetings.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Collaborate with Mid-Market Accounts Sales Executives and other team members to define and implement strategic customer approaches.
  • Lead and undertake technical discovery activities to understand customer goals and business initiatives, using your D&M industry experience and skill set to qualify opportunities and connect solutions to business outcomes.
  • Identify and Leverage opportunities that provide substantial value not only to our sales organization but also to our esteemed customers.
  • Work with Solutions Engineers and Partners to architect technical solutions based on your findings.
  • Use your broad understanding of the D&M industry, processes, technology trends, and workflows to inspire and differentiate our solutions, establishing us as a long-term provider.
  • Expand expertise to drive convergence between D&M and AEC, addressing comprehensive customer needs.
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions to secure technical wins, engaging customers through inspiring presentations and stories.
  • Build trusted relationships internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction and drive new business growth.
  • Share best practices, competitive information, and innovations within the sales organization and technical solutions teams, locally and globally.
  • Participate in strategic speaking engagements at high-profile trade shows, conferences, and Autodesk events in collaboration with D&M marketing and other teams.

Dein Profil

  • 4+ years experience in customer-facing Presales/Technical Sales/Sales role
  • 3-5+ years working in or with the Design & Manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of Autodesk solutions such as Inventor, Fusion, Vault or Fusion Manage or Experience selling technology solutions from other SaaS or technology vendors
  • Business fluency in German and English
