Deine Aufgaben

Assure the local ABB unit has the necessary capabilities to control that products and systems meet the internal, customer and industry requirements, in a cost effective and safe working environment.
Develop and implement standards and test methods to ensure only conform products, software and services are released to the customer.
Leads the design, planning and execution of tests, controls, verifications, validations, that are directly related to products, systems, or software production and/or delivery processes
Coordinates a proper interface between quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing & validation, engineering, as applicable
Executes and assists specific quality control related training, promoting passion for Quality, integrity in all the actions, and results orientation
Ensures relevant deployment of metrics and tools related to quality control in incoming, production, factory or software test labs, and final inspection quality, as applicable
Ensures the local organization has the necessary hardware and software capabilities to assure products and systems meet specified requirements and customer expectations, including production measurement and/or laboratory equipment
Organizes and allocates testing resources to meet customer delivery commitments and testing requirements effectively and efficiently
Ensures data is reported and interpreted according to the internal ABB specifications, customer norms, applicable national and/or global standards, always under a high level of integrity
Escalates through the organization any case of product quality or safety non-conformance
Consults with engineering staff to develop test protocols as necessary to investigate the integrity of new products, or new functionality for existing products
Provides support to other functional teams as needed to establish test protocols and to perform inspections.
In alignment with HSE personnel, implements and ensures that safety systems are place, known, and utilized by quality control and testing personnel, resulting in an accident-free workplace
Ensures that identified problems from Quality Control are understood and evaluated from a customer/stakeholder point of view
Collaborates in the resolution of problems to completion, following robust root cause analysis and corrective actions
Provides feedback and advises engineering / R&D on improvement opportunities in product and/or process design
