The MGI Group is looking for an Internal Control System Coordinator (d/f/m) to join our team in Berlin or Hamburg at the earliest opportunity.

As MGI’s Internal Control System Coordinator (d/f/m) you will be supporting the further development, monitoring and continuous improvement of our Internal Controls and Risk Management System across the MGI Group.

In this important role, you will work together with your team and Risk and Compliance and support all main business and finance leaders as well as our internal and external auditors and bring our processes and governance systems to the next level.


  • You`ll support entities and departments in process optimization as well as continuous follow-up of action plans

  • You support the ICS Officer with self-assessments and ensure accuracy of self-assessments – scoping of entities and identification of process owners.

  • Facilitate and provide tools and guidance to process owners in the closure of action plans in a sustainable manner

  • Document end to end process maps and policies, review and update as-is process maps.

  • You validate and embed controls in the to-be process maps and policies as defined in operating model.

  • Audits and process reviews (internal audits, internal control reviews by external audits, shared service partners).

  • You support, document and act on findings to close actions and prevent recurrence

  • Assist in the implementation of internal audit requirements


  • You hold a university degree in Finance/Accounting or a similar qualification.

  • Ideally, you have gained at least 2-3 years professional experience within operational or financial functions with broad view of business processes and compliance mindset

  • A degree in economics, business administration or similar; ideally with a major in Finance/Controlling and outstanding academic credentials

  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style

  • Fluency in English, German would be an advantage

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge in Business Central
